Energy Strategic Plan

With the strong conviction that La Pampa can be independent in terms of energy, the Energy Strategic Plan promotes policies to strengthen established public and private companies, and to encourage the creation and settlement in our Province of investors who work in energy production, thus setting the value of the area’s resources: the wind, the sun, biomass, organic waste, water, crude oil and gas.

The Government of La Pampa, the company Pampetrol, some cooperative corporations, towns or cities, the Bank of La Pampa, the National University of La Pampa and the private sector work all together to design energy projects which are strategic, comprehensive and competitive.

These are the studies that are being carried out to produce energy with resources from La Pampa:

  • Production of photovoltaic energy in areas where the line begins, such as in the towns of Algarrobo del Águila, Victorica, Intendente Alvear, and Caleufú.
  • Production of photovoltaic and gas thermal energy in the city of General Pico, Energy Hub.
  • Production of gas thermal energy in the town of La Adela.
  • Production of wind energy in the Industrial Park in General Pico.
  • Energy production from forest biomass in the areas of Victorica, Carro Quemado, and Telén.
  • Energy production from non-recyclable biomass waste in the town of Anguil.
  • Production of micro-hydraulic and photovoltaic energy in Colonia 25 de Mayo.
Production of biogas and photovoltaic energy in the town of Macachín.

The state-owned company Pampetrol SAPEM is the strategic ally for those investors who want to produce energy in the Province of La Pampa. It plays a major role within the Energy Strategic Plan, as it is at the heart of all the investment in energy in the Province.
