Agriculture
One of the main economic activities, it defines the productive profile of the province. The most common types of farming can be divided in:
Fine Farming: winter crops planted from May to July and are harvested from November to January. The principal one is wheat, while others include barley, malting barley, oats and rye
Thick Farming: crops that start to be planted mid-September and end in January, depending if they are cereal or oleaginous plant, whose main crop is corn, followed by sunflower, soy, sorghum and peanut.
Beekeeping has a prominent place inside the productive structure. In 2017 it already participated in the 10,5% of the national production of honey. The sector counts with 52 extraction rooms distributed in different departments. In 2017, a total of 3.800 tons were obtained.

In 2018, La Pampa was the second province with the biggest salt produccion after Río Negro.
Hydrocarbon Industry
Petroleum and gas production is developed in the West part of the province, specifically in the Puele department, and is a notorious economic resource for both the local productive growth and the employment generation.
The productive potential of the exploitation areas available for the generation of projects from a sustainable and efficient point of view is remarkable, both from an environmental and energy point of view.

The rural establishments are distributed in several points of the province and feature landscapes and infrastructure that allow them to connect with the local nature.
Health tourism takes advantage of different thermo-mining-medicinal sources and its derivatives. La Pampa has two thermal centers that offer diverse therapeutic treatments. Besides, the adventurous tourism offers wild surroundings and a tight contact with nature.
Lastly, the hunting activity is very prominent and attracts a great number of international hunters. There are 36 authorized hunting grounds (2019) with a calendar for sport hunting and allowed capacity per hunter. According to data from the Direction of Natural Resources of the Ministry of Production, 42% belongs to wild boars and 21% to red-coloured deer. In less percentage, there are armadillos, mountain lions, foxes, vizcachas, rabbits and herons
Additionally, fields or properties that wish to carry out hunting activities must be enrolled as Registered Fields. In the year 2019, 385 fields were enrolled..
